We kept it simple this year for Halloween and stayed home to pass out candy to the kiddos. LG loved seeing all of them dressed up. We also decided to make his outfit, I love the idea of getting creative! He loves tummy time and we always said he looked like a turtle on his tummy, so why not make him one for Halloween. We took a bike helmet and painted it like a shell and found a green jumper for him and Ta-Da....Our little turtle:

Playing with his Sippy Cup
Here's a video of Little Guy playing with his sippy cup for the first time:
Six Months
Ok I know, LG has been six months for almost a month now but better late than never :)
Here are his stats and things he is up to now.
Weight: 16lb 5 oz 28%
Length: 27in 71%
Head Circumference: 17in 33%
He dropped a little in weight but the doctor didn't seem too concerned about it and thinks maybe it's to do with his horrible month of being sick and teething. We go back to get his second flu shot and they will do a weight check then. I swear it's because the kid doesn't stop moving when he is awake so those calories don't have time to turn into fat :). The other night he was constantly crawling in a circle and never stopping for at least 5 minutes just to stay awake.
Things he is up to:
- army crawling
- sitting up (still will fall down some)
- eating solids (He has loved almost everything he has tried)
-Has 2 teeth now
-Loves waving his hand around but not really "waving" at people yet

My First Fall Y'all
This is our most favorite time of the year! We love everything about it: crisp air, beautiful colors, fall smells, activities and most of all football! Our little guy has had a fun first fall so far. We have enjoyed cheering the Hogs, spending time outside and going to the Schaefer's Pumpkin Patch. He LOVES being outside so we have been enjoying the cooler weather.
The next photos were taken at Schaefer's Corn Maze. They have it all: corn mazes. hay rides, pony rides, animals, and games. I think this may become a family tradition!

Almost Crawling!
Here is a video of LG attempting to crawl. He is a week shy of six months in the video. It won't be long before I'm chasing him all over the place!
No Pain, No Gain
This has been LG's motto for his fifth month of life. We will forever remember this month as his "teething" month! We have spent countless hours at night rocking and bouncing this poor baby. But after 3 weeks, out popped two bottom teefers. I dare any doctor, that says babies shouldn't have teething symptoms, to have spent just a night at our house. LG is a little stingy with showing them off, so no pictures of them yet but here are some recent ones.

LG,
This has been one tough month for you. There has been many tears shed by both of us but I learned to enjoy the late night moments with you. We knew we would teach you many lessons throughout your life but we never thought about you teaching us lessons. We quickly learned it was not our timing in getting your teeth but His. We now have a better understanding of the word: Patience. This experience has taught us how to lean on Him more. He got us through this month and will continue guiding us through more milestones. We love you so much and you are stealing our hearts more and more everyday!
Love,
Mommy

Little Guy is five months old now and we are having so much fun with him. He is such a sweet spirited, easy going boy. He is no longer our "cradle in your arms" baby but our "hip hugging" baby.
Things he is up to now:
- Loves blowing raspberries. (He does this most of the day)
- Starting to crawl backwards
- He is getting better at taking naps
-He is known as the "People Watcher" at daycare
-Reaching for Mom and Dad
-pulling hair :)
-Giving slobbery kisses
- Wants to grab and get his hands on everything
